Public-private partnership

Sønderborg Havneselskab A/S is a "public-private partnership". The company is an initiative of Bitten & Mads Clausens Fond, Realdania (which withdrew during the master plan process) and Sønderborg Municipality.

Realdania withdrew from Sønderborg Havneselskab following unveiling of the master plan for Sønderborg Harbour. Realdania sees its work as having been completed, as the master plan now provides a framework for local planning and further development of the harbour area, as the necessary funding becomes available. The current owners of the company are therefore Bitten & Mads Clausens Fond and Sønderborg Municipality.

The Chairman of Sønderborg Havneselskab A/S is Peter Mads Clausen.

The Havneselskabet directors are Niels Bjerregaard and Steen B. Laursen.
